BULLS, FEMALES AND GENETICS SALES

Limited numbers of Quality Full Blood (Japanese Black) Wagyu Bulls, Embryos, and Semen are made available for sale most years.   Heifers are very rarely sold – but occasionally are.   Most live animals and genetics can be viewed on this page or will be offered in the various Wagyu sales in Australia. Semen and occasionally embryos are also offered in sales overseas where export criteria and protocols have been met.

Bulls that are to be considered for export semen collection (EU/UK/USA/CSS/Canada/NZ/Australia) are assessed by me on farm usually past the age of 18 months before any decision is made to have them collected or not - they are not sent for export collection until I am satisfied that they have grown out well and I can see desirable traits and conformation. Steers are retained and fed (usually on-farm to a proven feeding program) to test the genetics, feed efficiency and performance of various sires.

Bulls are available from a variety of bloodlines with preference is usually given to sire and dam lines with proven performance.   Some of the bulls offered for sale have EBV’s and/or Index Values in the top 10% (or better) of the breed in Australia and, as mentioned, all bulls are raised under paddock conditions and receive hay and silage during times of feed shortage.   To ensure that a true indication of performance is available, cattle (including all bulls) do not receive grain supplements to boost their weight and they don’t get show shine for photos. They MUST all perform under normal conditions and “they are what they are” - No enhancements; No inflated data, Just true performance!!

Fullblood Wagyu bulls receive additional vaccinations, are fertility tested and often freeze branded before sale. They are accompanied to their new homes with a full Animal History Report, a National Cattle Health Declaration, a copy of their Registration Certificate, and a Fertility Test Report.

Cattle can be inspected at the property but strictly by arrangement and in line with Bio Security procedures.
