Animal Details: Lisheen T1 is a young bull that is sired by Lisheen Q24 who is a grandson of Sumo Michifuku F154 - a bull that needs no introduction to Wagyu breeders. T1’s Dam is Lisheen Q35 - she is sired by Sumo Shikikan D233 and is out of Lisheen N30 (the full sister of my Lisheen N23 bull). N30 is easily one of the best cows at Lisheen and is sired by Sumo Michifuku F126 who is an exceptionally good bull producing excellent carcasses and also some outstanding bulls and daughters. T1 has benefited from his diverse pedigree and tends to buck the Lisheen trend to some degree in that he does not have a positive Milk ebv (which I must admit that I find a little strange). T1 has, however, inherited a multi trait ebv profile with low BW and short GL ebv’s as well as a large +6.9 EMA, +2.0 MS and +0.42 MF ebv (Sept 2023 figures).
T1 is growing well and should hit his growth straps in Spring - he should suit many breeding programs. T1 will be offered for sale in late 2023 as a working age bull. Like all Lisheen Wagyu bulls, he has been run purely under paddock conditions for his entire life so all Breedplan data was collected under these conditions and is considered by me to be “real” data.
