Animal Details: Lisheen S10 was one of only 2 S bulls retained from his drop. He was retained to assess his growth and to gather additional data. He is sired by my Lisheen Q39 bull that is a direct TF151 son. S10’s dam, Lisheen P10, is one of the best cows at Lisheen and is sired by (the underrated) Sumo Michifuku F126 who is producing outstanding carcass results. P10’s Dam is a Lisheen bred cow that has Terutani 40/1, TF148, TF 147, and Itohana 2 in her pedigree - she has produced some excellent ‘feminine’ cows at Lisheen.
S10 has benefited from the diverse pedigree. He has inherited growth and milk as well as a massive +10.2 EMA, +2.7 MS and +0.45 MF ebv (May 2024 figures) . He has a positive Milk ebv which, if used correctly, tends to make him suitable for retaining heifers to breed on in a grazing system. He also has a short GL, below breed average BW, and positive RBY ebv’s.
S10 is growing well and should suit almost any breeding program. S10 has been used lightly at Lisheen and steers from him will go on feed in 2025 to assess his ability to produce quality carcasses. Like all Lisheen Wagyu bulls, he has been run purely under paddock conditions for his entire life so all Breedplan data was collected under these conditions and is considered by me to be “real” data.
