Animal Details: Lisheen S2 was one of only 2 S bulls retained from his drop. He was retained to assess his growth and to gather additional data. He is sired by my 1200 kg (on grass only) Lisheen N23 bull and is out of an 80% Tajima cow also bred at Lisheen. He has inherited the best from both with evenness of traits and good growth from N23 to counteract the below average growth figures for his Dam. He has also inherited larger EMA, MS and MF from the Dam side. He is also positive for Milk ebv which, if used correctly, tends to make him suitable for retaining heifers to breed on in a grazing system. S2 is growing well and should be a good heifer bull (short GL and Low BW).
S10 will be offered for sale in late 2023 as a working age bull. Like all Lisheen Wagyu bulls, he has been run purely under paddock conditions for his entire life so all Breedplan data was collected under these conditions and is considered by me to be “real” data.
